FELIX is a British brand of cat food that is currently owned by Nestlé Purina PetCare.

The history of Purina FELIX dates back to the 1970s when it was launched in Holland by Ralston Purina. After being acquired by Quaker in 1982, the brand gained success with the introduction of a unique and highly palatable "chunks in jelly" product.

During this time, the brand recognized an opportunity to showcase the true cat-owner relationship. They realized that consumers saw their cat as a real character, with a mischievous and fun-loving personality, rather than the idealized images portrayed in other cat food advertisements. In 1989, Purina FELIX was re-launched with a reformulated product, new packaging, and an innovative advertising campaign featuring a new animated character. This iconic mascot is a black and white cheeky cat named "Felix the Cat" that is still featured today on its packs.

In the 1990s, Purina FELIX expanded across Europe and has changed ownership a number of times, with Quaker selling it to Spillers in 1995, and Spillers being acquired by Nestlé in 1998. With the formation of Nestlé Purina in 2001, Purina FELIX once again became a part of the Purina family.

Despite changes in ownership and different brand names across markets, the essence of the Purina FELIX brand has remained the same since 1989. It has delighted consumers for over 30 years and is now a global brand with a presence in Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Latin America.

FELIX offers a range of irresistibly tasty cat food options in various flavors, textures, and formats. Whether it's meaty goodness or scrumptious gravy, there is something for every kitten and cat.
