Shampoos

Your pet’s skin is different to your own. It is less acidic and is also thinner than human skin, so use of a human shampoo on your dog or cat is not recommended.

You should always use a shampoo specifically formulated for your pet’s skin. PURINA TOTAL CARE has a range of dog shampoos designed for adult dogs and puppies, as well as shampoos to treat fleas or skin irritations.

You should not need to shampoo your dog more than once a fortnight, to ensure that you do not wash away the essential oils in your dog’s skin, and you should not wash him for at least 48 hours after applying a spot-on or line-on flea treatment.
