Flea and Worming
Fleas and Worms are an unfortunate part of all cats'
and dogs' lives, and they can be more than just a discomfort.
They can lead to serious health problems unless quickly and
regularly addressed. The key is to seek expert advice and,
equally as importantly, always read the labels on any flea or
worming treatment you buy to ensure correct dosages and
re-treatment times are applied.
With Flea treatments you must kill the existing fleas as well
as break the flea breeding cycle, and that means using a
combination of products such as a flea shampoo, a spot-on
or line-on product, plus treatment of areas where fleas breed,
such a carpets and bedding. Some flea treatments for dogs
can be toxic to cats, so look for any on-pack warnings to
ensure your pets are safe.
Worms can be basically divided into two main groups:
Intestinal worms (hookworms, tapeworms, whipworms
and roundworms), and Heartworms, so ensure you use
the correct product for the worms you need to treat.
PURINA TOTAL CARE has a wide range of flea and
worming products and formats to choose from.
