Feeding Guidelines

  2. Adult dog feeding guidelines

    Factors such as a dog's metabolism, breed, activity level, age and whether the dog is desexed, affect the amount of PURINA ONE needed to maintain an ideal body condition. The Pet experts at Purina have provided the feeding amounts as a starting point. If you find your dog is losing weight or becomes overweight, adjust the amount accordingly. Check ribs are easily felt and the waist is visible when viewed from above.

    Puppy feeding guidelines

    Puppies generally nibble at solid foods at three to four weeks of age. Feed pups (to 6 months of age) all of the moistened or dry PURINA ONE Puppy Formula they will consume in a 15 – 20 minute period, 3 times a day. After 6 months of age, feed at two intervals per day.

  3. Making the switch to PURINA ONE?

  4. Please allow 7 to 10 days to switch to PURINA ONE from your dog's current food to avoid dietary upsets. Each day, feed a little less of the previous food and a little more of PURINA ONE until you're feeding PURINA ONE exclusively.

  5. It's not for all dogs

  6. PURINA ONE products are formulated to suit the life stage of your dog or it's special needs. Check the product name to confirm you have the right product. Note pregnant or nursing dogs are best fed PURINA ONE Puppy Formula to fulfil their unique nutritional needs.

  7. No supplements necessary

  8. PURINA ONE formulas provide 100% complete and balanced nutrition to suit the life stage of your dog. There is no need to add vitamins, minerals or other supplements, unless directed by a veterinarian.

  9. Fresh water, proper diet
    & veterinary care

  10. Be sure to provide fresh water daily, in a clean container. Proper diet, exercise and veterinary care are the best ways to keep your dog healthy. If your dog hasn't had a check-up in the past year, make an appointment.
