Feeding Guidelines

  1. Cat and kitten feeding instructions

  2. Adult cat feeding guidelines

    Fill your cat's bowl with the recommended amount each morning and allow your cat to eat as it chooses during the day. Required food intake depends on age, activity and environment. Monitor your cat's weight and adjust food accordingly.

    Kitten feeding guidelines

    Kittens generally nibble at solid foods at three to four weeks of age. Keep moistened PURINA ONE Kitten Formula available to your kitten at all times. At six to eight weeks of age, kittens will normally eat dry or moistened food at will. To moisten, use no more than one part warm liquid to four parts food.

  3. Making the switch to PURINA ONE?

  4. Please allow 7 to 10 days to switch to PURINA ONE from your cat's current food to avoid dietary upsets. Each day, feed a little less of the previous food and a little more of PURINA ONE until you're feeding PURINA ONE exclusively.

  5. It's not for all cats

  6. PURINA ONE products are formulated to suit the life stage of your cat or it's special needs. Check the product name to confirm you have the right product. Note pregnant or nursing cats should be fed PURINA ONE Kitten Formula. If your vet has your cat on a specific diet, see them before making any changes.

  7. No supplements necessary

  8. PURINA ONE formulas provide 100% complete and balanced nutrition to suit the life stage of your cat. There is no need to add vitamins, minerals or other supplements, unless directed by a veterinarian.

  9. Fresh water, proper diet
    & veterinary care

  10. Be sure to provide fresh water daily, in a clean container. Proper diet, exercise and veterinary care are the best ways to keep your cat healthy. If your cat hasn't had a check-up in the past year, make an appointment.
