Advice from the experts
"Kittens just love to play... it's something that comes naturally to them. They grow so fast and learn so quickly. As they do, their nutritional needs change. Feeding your kitten correctly in the early days is essential for a good start to life"

Feeding your kitten:
Your kitten passes through three stages as it switches from milk to solid food.
Stage 1 - Zero to 4 weeks old
For the first month or so, kittens are best fed on their mother's milk. Just like human babies, kittens need the maternal antibodies to help them fight illnesses and infections.
Stage 2 - From 4 to 12 weeks old
Kittens can start to eat solid food. To help weaning from mother's milk, serve food moistened 4 times a day (1 part water to 4 parts dry Kitten food). Between 6 to 12 weeks the amount of water can be gradually reduced each week.
Stage 3 - From 3 to 12 months
After the weaning period, your kitten's growth is much faster than at any other stage of its life. It needs highly nutritious, energy rich foods to cope with this growth. After 12 months you can gradually introduce your kitten to dry adult varieties following the instructions on pack.
Did you know? Most people recognise purring as a sign of contentment, but it can be a sign of fear as well.
