There's more to cat litter than just the litter. It is important that your cat feels comfortable using a litter tray, otherwise they will simply 'go' somewhere else. Litter hygiene is also vital – cats' sense of smell is about 14 times stronger than humans, and the last thing you want is for your cat to avoid the tray.
